In the bustling environment of Newport Beach, California, Neighborhood Goods saw an opportunity to make a bold statement with their first West Coast brick-and-mortar store. The brand envisioned a space that would break the mold of traditional retail, offering a blend of the modern, high-end, and digitally integrated shopping experiences they were known for. When Neighborhood Goods set eyes on a B+N designed Everlane store in 2021, they were instantly drawn to its clean lines, minimalist aesthetic, and fresh look. Recognizing a kindred spirit in innovative retail solutions, Neighborhood Goods reached out, and thus began the dynamic collaboration with the B+N Team and LA-based architectural firm Design, Bitches. United in their vision and creativity, these teams embarked on a journey to redefine retail aesthetics and functionality, setting a new standard for future Neighborhood Goods locations

The Challenge
Neighborhood Goods sought a retail environment that was both customizable and adaptive, a vision well-aligned with B+N Industries' System 1224 and Sorbetti 2.0 product lines. Although the System 1224 was straightforward to integrate, Sorbetti 2.0 presented what initially seemed to be a challenge. However, this became an opportunity to demonstrate Sorbetti 2.0's unique adaptability and customizability. The so-called "challenge" was not due to Sorbetti 2.0 itself but rather involved harmonizing its exceptional flexibility with the designer-specified millwork—ultimately showcasing just how versatile the B+N Industries product truly is.
The Solution
Going beyond conventional solutions, the B+N Team tapped into their collective expertise in design and engineering. After an in-depth study of the store layout and frequent collaborations with Design, Bitches, custom modifications were made to Sorbetti 2.0 and System 1224 to better align with the client's brand image. The customizations were meticulously planned to integrate effortlessly with the wood and mirror details selected by Design, Bitches.
The B+N Team also demonstrated remarkable foresight in the design of System 1224. The fixture was built to be reconfigurable without tools, thus catering to the ever-changing and eclectic range of high-end merchandise featured at Neighborhood Goods. This emphasis on easy adaptability was not just a feature but a philosophy that B+N infused into the project.
The Newport Beach store is a testament to the synergy between Neighborhood Goods, Design, Bitches, and the B+N Team.
