Murad Flagship
In 1989, Dr. Howard Murad founded his eponymous skincare company, becoming the first brand to offer clinical-grade products to the public without a visit to the dermatologist’s office. Amazingly, despite being a global brand for 32 years, the company did not have an official flagship store until 2014. Designer Jeremy Moser, owner and founder of Moser Creative Co.op, worked with Murad to articulate all of the brand’s ideas for their debut shop into a cohesive and beautiful design.

Located in Los Angeles, the flagship features the full range of Murad’s skin condition-specific, high-performance products; interactive displays designed to curate a customized mix of solutions for the customer; and a spa set up for trying on products. In order to accommodate all these different elements, the need for minimalist shelving and space division became apparent. B+N Industries’ System 1224 proved to be the perfect solution. The store went with a highly customized approach, working with B+N to develop custom cabinetry, concealed plumbing, built-in lighting, and even integrated touch-sensitive video screens that would activate when the customer picked up a product.
“System 1224 was very flexible and very complimentary to the store itself, which we considered ‘California Clinical.’ Everything in the store was very clean and clinical but also very fun and branded,” reflects Moser.
