Fila
For Fila’s Madison Avenue shop (now closed), designer Giorgio Borruso was tasked with creating a “Temple of Sport” within the 4,000-square-foot space. To do that, he made sure every architectural detail conveyed a sense of motion.
From the ceiling, to the support columns, to the walls, flow and force could be felt. On the store’s left side, hundreds of shoes appeared to take flight on a canted, 50-foot wall. The wall was clad with B+N Industries’ Iconic Panels in an on-brand, bright white color. Long, wavy lines run across the width of the wall, evoking the moment of the ocean or wind. B+N’s Puck system supported the shoes on display. Due to Puck’s easy integration into the Iconic Panels collection, the shelves were able to be placed strategically within the wall in such a way that the line pattern was not disrupted.
