Beauty Studio
Beauty Studio, a spa-brand-only beauty concept store, needed to make an impression for its debut at the high-end Polaris Mall in Columbus, Ohio. It had to appeal to both the fastidious, beauty ingredient-literate crowd, as well as the casual shopper. The aesthetic had to be sleek and chic, but also friendly.

Creating this look was no trouble for B+N Industries, which oversaw Beauty Studio’s store concept design and also provided the fixtures to support the large and frequently changing roster of products. B+N primarily relied on its Puck and Cable and Rod systems, which were used on wall displays and freestanding merchandise bays. These two systems were chosen for their durability, strength, ease of installation and reconfiguration, as well as their ability to seamlessly meld with the store’s bright and white aesthetic.
An electrified Cable and Rod system was used within glass container bays to illuminate products and keep them safe. Large, blocky shapes were chosen for the Puck fixtures, and their lay out pattern was deliberately simple to let the products be the real eye-grabbers. Finally, the design team at B+N used dark wenge wood for tables and stools to inject some light touches of luxury into the store.
The skillful use of Puck and Cable for the Beauty Studio project won B+N an Award of Merit from the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers.
