The Challenge

Impressed with the work B+N did for Everlane in terms of a sleek retail design and for Apple in terms of showcasing the brand, Fashionphile wanted B+N to provide a solution for its pop-ups that personifies the Fashionphile brand and offers modular product systems that are versatile enough to accommodate the brand’s changing inventory as well as cater to distinct customer needs in each location.

The Solution

B+N employed its System 1224 for use as a powered solutions along with stock uprights, white shelves, select standard accessories (white open cubes and all flat shelves), and locking metal cabinets; custom mirror frames were devised to work within the modular 1224 system. The design team adjusted perforated panels to custom sizes and moved a locking mechanism on vitrines to accommodate their end use. B+N created a custom pink finish—Fashionphile’s signature color—for the walls and applied custom vinyl lettering. And the curved features at the ends of the walls, the cash wrap, pedestals, and logo were custom-made to meld with Fashionphile’s aesthetic.

In a strategically orchestrated move, B+N shipped product in stages due to limited floor space. By shipping the perimeter items first, the walls could be set up prior to floor fixtures delivering; plus this tactic provided more time for the millwork (which has longer lead times) to be produced.
