For beauty conglomerate Coty’s 25,000-square-foot studios in Calabasas, California, Moshiri Associates created a space that would stimulate creativity and highlight the glamor of beauty. Spread over multiple floors, the studios feature: a 150-person-capacity bleacher seating for rolling out new announcements in beauty innovation; a state-of-the-art audio/visual facility; and standard offices, conference rooms, and more amorphous product display space. The goal of the facility is to not only showcase Coty products, but also to provide space to host seminars and workshops for cosmetic professionals.

B+N Industries’ System 1224 was the perfect solution for Coty’s display needs. “[The system] provided [our clients] a way to utilize versatile modular units, clean details, and contemporary design allowing their products to present itself on their own,” says Reza Moshiri, managing principal at Moshiri Associates.
On both the ground and first floors of the space, Moshiri Associates created display bays for Coty products that were supported by LED-illuminated System 1224 shelving. They also specified backlit, white System 1224 panels for additional lighting and customized panels featuring fashion photography of Coty products. The effect is a streamlined storage solution that presents a cohesive design aesthetic and most importantly, allows the product to be the hero.
